The following paintings represent the intimate process of settling into a pregnancy, and becoming aware of the changes to the body and soul during this new maternal stage. Through the opposition of dark and light paintings, I explore the polarized emotions related to fear and happiness. The titles, most in the form of questions, are a guide to think about the rhythm of life and to look at uncertainty with perspective.
